5×5 Square Urethane bar is an excellent replacement polyurethane material for traditional materials such as UHMW, HDPE, Delrin, Nylon, and rubber. Urethane provides a unique set of physical properties that include abrasion resistance, elastic memory (won’t deform like hard plastics), chemical resistance, and impact resistance. It generally has a very good tear strength and rebound as well. This allows urethane to withstand repeated impact without deforming or cracking.

EASILY MACHINABLE

We manufacture our polyurethane bar and sheet with the end user in mind by using standard formulations that are easy to machine. In general, urethanes have developed a reputation for being hard to machine. This most often is due to formulation and durometer. As a general rule of thumb, softer durometer urethanes are harder to machine than harder durometer urethanes. However, formulation also plays a significant role machinability and is often neglected.
